YPurchasing Group Strikes Deal with FloWater for Water Refill Station Deployment

DENVER–(BUSINESS WIRE)–YPurchasing (YPG, LLC), a member-owned company that provides innovative business solutions for its YMCA members, and Denver-based FloWater announce an agreement making FloWater the preferred provider of water refill stations nationwide for its 100+ owner-members that operate 2,500+ YMCA community locations.

YPG represents a huge array of YMCA organizations, ranging from four of the top five in the USA, to single operators,” says CEO Terry McElfresh. “Given the performance data on FloWater Refill stations, this is a terrific opportunity for our members to not only upgrade their drinking water systems with the latest technology, but to also reduce their plastic water bottle waste and provide a better, more hydrating water for family members in their communities.”

In FloWater surveys from locations across the country, data shows that FloWater users have more energy, more productivity, a 50% to 250% increase in hydration, and, in some cases, a 100% reduction in single-use plastics.

FloWater has re-engineered the water refill station as we know it. Connecting to any potable water line, FloWater Refill Stations extract contaminants and harsh chemicals and deliver fast-flowing, purified and chilled water that has also been oxygenated and revitalized with electrolytes and trace minerals for better hydration. A coconut carbon filter ‘finishes’ the water for a better taste. User surveys also show that 8 out of 10 users prefer FloWater over premium bottled water brands, and that, on an installed basis, FloWater Refill stations generally cost less than traditional water fountains and five-gallon jugs.

The Mission Viejo Family YMCA in Orange County, California is among the first locations to integrate FloWater Refill Stations.

FloWater Co-Founder and CEO Rich Razgaitis sees a different future for water delivery, one that reduces operating costs for businesses, stores, fitness centers and schools; while reducing plastic waste and improving our drinking water. “Our outcome data from locations all over the country where FloWater Refill Stations are deployed shows significant cost-savings, better hydration and reduced soda consumption—all without the plastic,” says Razgaitis.
